You need to get your data up to date. GPS collars can upload data by satellite so that the animals can be tracked on a computer. You are talking about old GPS collars.
Driving around with an antenna in a vehicle like they do in Yellowstone is not exactly strenuous.

GPS collars don't work that way. They have to be retrieved and uploaded. It is not currently possible with today's technology to sit back and watch a computer screen to track wildlife. It is very difficult and demanding whether using a traditional radio collar or a GPS collar.
