Bohemian Waxwing - Polson, Montana
This Bohemian Waxwing is just taking off. These birds feed on juniper berries here in Montana during the winter. They have a very rapid digestive system..The berries may take less than one half hour to complete their travel through the system.
I've not seen this kind of bird on my backyard yet, but I've seen other kinds of birds. Maybe they thought of my synthetic grass as natural. Anyway, I also have some plants surrounding my lawn.
Great capture of a great bird!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
